Adam Nigg Motorsports

Two Time Champion

Bio

Adam Michael Nigg was born on October 27, 1988 to Gene and Karen Nigg of Jasper, Indiana. He drove his first vehicle, a Powerwheels Jeep at the age of 4. Soon thereafter, he acquired a go-kart and proceeded to drive the wheels off of it. After wearing out his first go-kart, his parents purchaced a faster 125cc buggy. Adam's father, Gene, noticed that Adam was very consistent, to the point that the lawn was suffering; Potential was observed.

The following year, 2004, Adam and his father decided it was time to get into sanctioned racing through the medium of 600cc Upright Minisprints. The first year was one of battling mechanical issues with the car and keeping up with the pack at Thunder Valley Raceway. Allen Ruppenthal, former owner of what was Economy Racing Components and Lynn Ambrose, driver of the ERC 36 House Car, mentored Adam and assisted with the learning of proper set-up, tuning, and driving lines. Later in 2003 Adam visited Bakersfield Raceway Park to try his hand at racing Uprights without the wings. He knew immeadiately what he wanted to do, having finished 4th in his 2nd non-wing race.

2005 brought a new car and a double schedule: Bakersfield on Friday and Thunder Valley on Saturday. The multitude of rainouts at Thunder Valley prompted Adam to focus on his non-wing driving. He swept the first Bakersfield race of 2004. The rest of the year was filled with 4 additional wins and numerous top 3 finishes. This consistensy paid off with Adam winning the 600 Upright Championship; A championship in his Second Year of Racing.

In 2006, Adam ran with the American Minisprint Association 1200s and at Bakersfield Raceway Park. Highlights include several non-wing wins at Bakersfield, a non-wing win from the tail at Southern Illinois Raceway, and a 3rd place finish with the 1200s at Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Unfortunately, Adam had commitments with his high school marching band that prevented him from running a complete season with either the 1200s or the 600s.

2007 was an exciting year for Adam. He focused entirely on his non-wing driving, resulting in 5 wins at Bakersfield Raceway. Despite missing 4 nights of racing, he still finished 2nd in the championship. The highlight of 2007 was Adam's speeping of the $500 to win non-wing 1200 race at Wayne Co. Speedway, Illinois.

2008 was a great year for 25n racing. Adam accumulated 12 wins in his 636, 1 win with the 1200s, and 1 win in a 410 non-wing sprint. He also won his second championship at Bakersfield Raceway Park. His school plans are to attend Purdue in January to major in Computer Integrated Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
